Planet GreenFest, inspired by pioneers like Antonio Saillant (founder of a similar initiative in 2014), seeks to address this crisis by celebrating filmmakers who use 100% green technology tools. Our festival is not limited to environmental themes—any genre is welcome, as long as the production process is eco-friendly. This inclusive approach broadens our appeal and amplifies our impact, showing that sustainability is achievable across all storytelling.

Antonio Saillant, the Founder and Director of Planet Greenfest, emerges as a powerful force at the intersection of sustainability, energy conservation, and entertainment. With a robust background in sustainable building design, construction, and energy consultancy, Saillant has left an indelible mark on some of the nation's largest entities, including Con Edison and pharmaceutical companies.Having directed sustainable initiatives for Con Edison, Saillant seamlessly blended his expertise in the energy sector with the dynamic realm of entertainment. In his influential role, he commanded a team overseeing more than 50 building contracts, spearheading projects that pushed the boundaries of sustainability.Saillant's expertise extends to various domains, from facilitating sustainable energy in buildings, hospitals, sports facilities, banks, and civic structures to advising film studios and television networks. A true Renaissance man, Saillant is not merely a filmmaker but also an energy/green activist with a lifetime commitment to environmental policy and applied energy technologies.Renowned for his captivating lectures and training sessions, Saillant has shared his knowledge with hundreds of industry professionals. He has graced the halls of prestigious universities, earning Outstanding Acclaim for his compelling address at Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Public Communications on the "green economy" and sustainable entertainment strategies implemented by industry leaders.
